Level sensor brings uniformity benefits
Aluminium casting using conventional level sensing methods can result in poor uniformity, inadequate slab shape and an overall reduction in surface quality.
The TMMS 200 metal level sensor from VHE Stimir Solutions alleviates these problems and has proven results in use for over nine years in smelters across Europe.
The unit is a highly sensitive and accurate non-contact displacement sensor on a mobile arm with an accuracy of ±0.5mm. A processor-controlled stepping motor moves the sensor arm, measuring the metal level in real time and precisely calculating the sensor head status.
It is supplied as an independent unit capable of interfacing with almost any type of metal casting system. VHE also manufactures metal flow controllers for precise control of aluminium during casting.
