The Aluminum Association of Canada reported primary aluminium production in Canada during June 2008 was at an annual rate of 3.110Mt, decreasing 8.755kt/y, from the May rate of 3.118Mt/y.
US primary aluminium
Based on the US Aluminum Association’s surveys, the US annual rate of primary aluminium production totalled 2.738Mt during June 2008, an increase of 7.7% over the June 2007 total of 2.543Mt.

North American primary production
Based on Aluminum Association surveys, US primary aluminium production totalled 2.559Mt in 2007, an increase of 12.2% over the 2006 total of 2.280Mt.
