Welcome to the November/December 2011 issue of AIT.
Once again, we feature an award winning paper, this time from Rio Tinto Alcan's Nick Parson, Marc Lebleu and Frederic Savard. Their paper on acid etch as an anodizing pre-treatment won the Robert L Kersman Award for Best Paper at the 2010 International Anodizing Conference, held in Montreal Canada.
Other Surface Treatment papers includes Judy Runge and Sanford Process Corporation's Mike Sung discussing a technology for corrosion protection.
Heat Treatment articles are supplied by South Africa's Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, and Morgan Thermal Ceramics. Other articles include a report on the Aluminium in Automotive conference orgainsed by Alfed and papers from Dubal and LTB.
