July/August 2011
Welcome to the July/August issue of AIT, which this month features an award-winning paper. Sintef's Anne Kvithyld won the Vittorio de Nora Prize Lecture at this year's TMS event in San Diego for her presentation on Recycling of Contaminated Aluminium Scrap. An abridged version is published in AIT.
Elsewhere the Casthouse feature includes papers from Rio Tinto Alcan, MQP and Precimeter, while the Secondary feature also includes a paper from Gunter Kirchner, Secretary General of the Organisation of the European Recycling Industry.
Other features include an extensive overview of the Icelandic aluminium industry, a report from the 5th Electrodes Conference held in Iceland recently and a focus on the expanding Siberian aluminium market.
